Welcome to ScrollGigs. By accessing or using our website at https://scrollgigs.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

1Description of Service

ScrollGigs is a job aggregation platform with swipe-based discovery, AI-powered matching, and employer-employee chat. We aggregate job postings from sources including the Adzuna API, Reddit, RemoteOK, Remotive, We Work Remotely, and Hacker News, and present them in a swipeable feed. Employers can also post jobs directly.

The platform offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription with additional features including AI-powered tools. ScrollGigs does not create, verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of any job listing. We act as an aggregator and discovery tool.

2User Accounts

To save jobs, track applications, and access personalized features, you must create an account. We support email and password, magic link (passwordless email), and Google OAuth sign-in. Email verification is required for all accounts.

You may only create one account per person. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3Pro Subscription

3.1 What You Get

ScrollGigs Pro unlocks unlimited swipes, super-swipe functionality, AI-powered cover letter generation, AI match scoring, and an ad-free experience.

3.2 Pricing and Billing

Pro is a 30-day pass purchased as a one-time payment via Razorpay. By purchasing, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service. To continue Pro access, you will need to purchase again before your current period expires. We do not auto-charge or store payment methods.

3.3 Cancellation

Pro access expires at the end of your 30-day period. Since there is no recurring billing, no cancellation is required. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days at admin@scrollgigs.com.

4Acceptable Use

You agree to use ScrollGigs only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

1. Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from our website.
2. Create fake accounts or multiple accounts to circumvent limits.
3. Send spam messages through the chat system.
4. Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service or its infrastructure.
5. Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content, design, or brand without permission.
6. Use the service to transmit harmful code, spam, or malicious content.
7. Impersonate ScrollGigs, other users, or misrepresent your affiliation with us.
8. Share, resell, or transfer your Pro subscription to another individual.

5Voting

Users can upvote or downvote job listings. Each user gets one vote per job. Vote manipulation -- including using multiple accounts, bots, or coordinated efforts to inflate or deflate vote counts -- is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

6Swipe Actions and Data

Your swipe actions (saved, skipped, rejected, super-swiped) are recorded and stored in our database. Skipped jobs may resurface in your feed after 48 hours. Rejected jobs are permanently hidden from your feed. This data is used to personalize your experience and is subject to our Privacy Policy.

7AI-Generated Content

ScrollGigsoffers AI-powered features including cover letter generation, match scoring, and resume parsing, powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Cover letters and match scoring are available to Pro subscribers. Resume parsing is available to all users.

AI-generated cover letters and match scores are suggestions, not professional advice. They are provided as a starting point and should be reviewed and customized before use. ScrollGigs does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing and using any AI-generated content.

8Employer Features

Employers can post job listings and discover candidates through our employer portal. Employer accounts require verification before accessing full features (candidate discovery, direct messaging, file sharing). Chat supports text messages and file attachments (images and PDFs, max 5 MB). ScrollGigs reserves the right to reject, remove, or flag any employer posting that violates our guidelines or appears fraudulent.

The “Verified” badge indicates an employer has passed our verification process but does not constitute an endorsement of the employer or any position.

9Job Listings Disclaimer

Job listings are sourced from third-party APIs and employer postings. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or current availability of any listing. Specifically:

1. Positions may be filled or removed by the time you view them.
2. Compensation, benefits, and other details may differ from what is displayed.
3. We do not verify the legitimacy of every employer or posting.

You are responsible for independently verifying any job opportunity before providing personal information or entering into agreements with prospective employers.

10Advertisements

Free-tier users may see advertisements displayed through Google AdSense. Pro subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience. We do not control the content of advertisements and are not responsible for any products, services, or claims made by advertisers.

Ad display is subject to your cookie consent preferences as described in our Privacy Policy.

11Intellectual Property

The ScrollGigs name, logo, website design, scoring algorithms, AI prompts, and original content are the intellectual property of ScrollGigs. Third-party job listing content belongs to its respective authors and platforms. You may not use our brand, logo, or design elements without prior written consent.

11.1 Platform-Provided Assets

ScrollGigsprovides avatar illustrations, icons, and other visual assets (“Platform Assets”) for use exclusively within the ScrollGigs platform. These assets are proprietary and licensed solely for personal, non-commercial use within your ScrollGigs profile. You shall not:

1. Download, extract, copy, or redistribute Platform Assets for use outside of ScrollGigs.
2. Use Platform Assets in other products, services, websites, or applications.
3. Modify, create derivative works from, or reverse-engineer Platform Assets.
4. Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Platform Assets in any form.
5. Use automated tools to bulk-download or scrape Platform Assets.
6. Claim ownership of or file intellectual property registrations for Platform Assets.

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account termination and legal action. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by ScrollGigs.

12Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or abused the platform. In the event of termination for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund of any Pro subscription fees.

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScrollGigs and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

1. Your use of or inability to use the service.
2. Any job listing, employer interaction, or employment decision made based on information found on our platform.
3. AI-generated content including cover letters, match scores, resume parsing results, and their use in job applications.
4. Application tracking status (applied, viewed, interview, offer, rejected) which is user-maintained and not verified by us.
5. Unauthorized access to or alteration of your account data.
6. Payment processing issues handled by Razorpay.
7. Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the content.
8. Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14Disclaimer of Warranties

ScrollGigsis provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-powered features are provided without warranty as to their accuracy or fitness for purpose.

15Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScrollGigs, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your use of AI-generated content.

16Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days notice via email before material changes take effect. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of ScrollGigs after the notice period constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

17Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

18Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
