Hunting for gigs...
I run an 800K+ subscriber men's fragrance and lifestyle YouTube channel. Just got named to TikTok's 2026 Discover List, shot the Valentino Born in Roma campaign, signed with a top NYC modeling agency. Posting daily, building real momentum. Now I need to scale post-production with one person who can own the entire long-form pipeline.
This is not an editing gig. This is a creative partnership.
Channel inspiration (the taste filter):
For aesthetics, color, pacing, and vlog feel: Shevon Salmon, Tim Dessaint, Daniel Dalen, and Luke Davis.
For cutaway screens, AE motion graphics, and talking head energy: Iman Gadzhi.
If you watch all five and immediately know the visual language I'm describing, keep reading. If you don't, this isn't your gig.
What you actually do:
\- Edit long-form YouTube videos (talking head + vlog formats)
\- Color grade in DaVinci Resolve (footage shot S-Log3 on Sony A7S III)
\- Design thumbnails (cinematic, premium men's lifestyle aesthetic, NOT clickbait)
\- BGM selection and SFX layering
\- Build cutaway screens, motion graphics, and animated b-roll inserts in After Effects (Iman Gadzhi style)
\- Own the video from raw footage to publish-ready file
\- Develop signature visual language for the channel over time
Volume:
4-8 long-form videos per month. 8 is the target. Bi-weekly batch filming, footage delivered in batches.
Hard requirements (read before applying):
\- Strong aesthetic eye is non-negotiable. Show me you've developed taste.
\- Fluent English. Every project conversation happens in English.
\- Location: North America (1st priority), South America, or Europe. That's it.
\- Do not apply if you're based in Asia, Australia, or Africa. Your application will be ignored. This is not a budget filter, it's a timezone and creative culture fit decision.
What I'm NOT looking for:
\- Editors who just cut clips together. The cut is the floor, taste is the ceiling.
\- Anyone who needs a checklist to know what makes a vlog feel cinematic.
\- "I can do anything" generalists with no clear visual point of view.
\- Editors who treat YouTube as just another platform. This is the medium.
\- AE templates pulled from Envato. I can spot them. Your work has to be original.
Who I'm actually looking for:
\- Someone who studies YouTube as an art form
\- Has strong opinions on pacing, color, music, b-roll selection, motion design
\- Treats my channel like their own portfolio piece
\- Communicates proactively
\- 2+ years editing for creators in lifestyle, fashion, or men's content (or adjacent)
Comp:
Per-video flat rate. Paid via PayPal or Wise. Strong fit can earn \~$5K USD/month at full volume. This is a long-term retainer relationship, not one-off gigs.
How to apply (read carefully):
\- Portfolio link. Must include long-form YouTube work AND examples of AE motion/cutaway work. NOT just shorts/reels.
\- Portfolio must be hosted on a real platform: Behance, personal website, Vimeo, or YouTube. DO NOT send a Google Drive link. I will ignore you.
\- 3 sentences on one video you've edited that you're proud of and why
\- Your per-video rate
\- Your location (city + country)
\- DM only. No comments on the post.
Reading this and getting excited? That's the right reaction. Reach out.
