Join our customer’s team as a Tax Agent and play a crucial role in the preparation, review, and validation of U.S. personal tax filings. This position is ideal for tax professionals who pride themselves on accuracy, compliance, and clear written and verbal communication in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate U.S. personal tax forms for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to compliance standards Prepare and support the processing of individual tax filings with meticulous attention to detail Analyze financial and tax-related data to ensure precision in reporting Annotate and structure tax information to align with project and regulatory requirements Maintain an up-to-date understanding of U.S. personal tax laws and best practices Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders using strong written and verbal skills in a remote setting Identify discrepancies or potential issues, escalating them for thorough review and resolution
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in U.S. personal tax preparation and filing In-depth knowledge of U.S. individual tax forms, such as 1040 and related schedules Demonstrated expertise reviewing tax documents for accuracy and compliance Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain productivity in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Background as a tax preparer, especially with firms like H&R Block, Intuit, or similar organizations Familiarity with tax software such as TurboTax, Drake, or comparable platforms Experience with data annotation or managing structured financial data, especially in complex or multi-faceted individual tax scenarios
