Advice needed. Working with an Employer of Record
I’m looking for some advice about working with an EOR.
I recently got an offer for a remote role with a US based company, and it seems like a great opportunity, but I have a few concerns. The contract says I’d be an at will employee, meaning either side can terminate employment at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. It also doesn’t mention benefits like holidays, sick leave, or health insurance.
From what I understand, this feels like it might conflict with local employment laws where I live. When I asked HR about it, they said the EOR would handle everything according to local regulations.
I’m mainly worried about job security and whether this arrangement is standard or if there are hidden risks. Has anyone here worked through an EOR before? What should I be cautious about?
