Role Overview

• Duration: Initial 1-month part-time engagement, transitioning to a 1-year full-time contract.

• Rate: Competitive / Open to negotiation based on market experience.
• Location: UK-based with occasional travel to the Netherlands. Need Permission to work in UK

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Engineering & Networking

• Azure Core Services: Design and deploy Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Storage, and Monitor.
• Network Architecture: Implement complex connectivity solutions including VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and SD-WAN.
• Resiliency & Scale: Design systems for maximum scalability and reliability; manage Autoscaling, Load Balancing, and Reserved Instances for performance and cost optimization.
• Innovation: Investigate market trends and evaluate new technologies to keep our stack at the forefront of the industry.

Automation & DevOps

• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Templates and Terraform.
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD Pipelines and utilize PowerShell for environment automation.

Security & Compliance

• Architecture: Build systems with "Security by Design," implementing Zero Trust Architecture and managing Identity & Access Management (Azure AD, RBAC).
• Governance: Enforce security policies and ensure strict adherence to industry standards such as ISO and NIST.
• Remediation: Proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities across the infrastructure.

Technical Requirements & Experience

• Azure Infrastructure: Expert-level knowledge of Azure Infra, including Traffic Load Balancing and Divisions.
• Hardware & Admin: Minimum of 5 years of experience with Storage Devices, supplemented by strong Server Administration and Data Center Operations skills.
• Networking Hardware: Deep knowledge of Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Wireless Infrastructure.
• Assessments: Proven ability to conduct comprehensive Network, Security, Server, and Storage assessments.
• Collaboration: A track record of working with cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative troubleshooting environment.
